
Siobhan Carroll
Siobhan Carroll is a writer/professor whose award-winning short fiction has been translated into multiple languages. Her genre-spanning stories range from the humorous to the terrifying and reflect her deep knowledge of literary traditions.
A Canadian Irish-diasporic writer, Carroll explores issues related to empire and the environment in her historical horror fiction. Her most celebrated work is the fantasy novelette "For He Can Creep" (published by Tor.com in 2019), which won the 2020 Eugie Award and was a finalist for the Nebula, Hugo, and World Fantasy awards. The novelette was adapted for screen by Tamsyn Muir for the fourth season of Netflix's Love, Death & Robots in 2025. Currently, Siobhan Carroll lives in Philadelphia where she is ruled over by two high-maintenance cats.
